Happy Singles Awareness Day

And I'm still single. Hurray. For all of you fortunate to have dates and significant others, congrats. You are all very lucky and I am very jealous. Me? I'm going to celebrate that midterms are done. They (hopefully) went better than expected but seeing as I only need to pass the courses I don't need to be all that concerned with my grades. They'd be just for bragging points.

So tonight, I'm probably sit back with a few drinks and contemplate life and video games.

Yay for Valentine's day sales.

We do have a week long break next week. Which is great, I could use the break to catch up on a few things, get back into the gym. Midterms have a way of messing up one's schedule. I'm off to take it easy.

Take care everyone.

  1. Got a break over here as well. Though school's calling it a "study week". Week and break are pronounced similarly in Dutch, so it's more like a study break if you ask me. Enjoy it!

  4. Hi DWei, best of luck for your midterms :)
Spending a Valentine's day all alone is not so cool. Hmm...well, make a difference next year.
    DWei, good post :)

  6. A lot of young people are celebrating Valentine's Day by themselves. This Hall Mark Holiday is turning out to be expensive like other Holidays.
Celebrating Exams that went well is a good thing. Good Luck.

  9. Hey, Valentines day is always a stupid hallmark holiday, regardless of ones singleness!

  10. Valentines is always awkward if you're single. Especially if you go a first date with a new person around the 14th.

  11. I love your expression for it - I HATE Valentine's Day. It's Hallmark's way of making single people feel like shit. And now that I'm not single, I still hate it and we go out on the 13th just in protest.

Congrats to you with midterms being over!

  12. Aw, you have significant others, they're just not romantic right now. Right? Right.

Enjoy your free week! There we go, that's better.

  14. Mrs. Penwasser and I have been married almost 28 years so our Valentines probably wasn't much different than yours. Except we went to sleep at nine. And by "sleep," I meant just that.

  15. You know what I did as a married guy for VD? I sat back with a few drinks and contemplated life and video games. Having a woman who doesn't want flowers or chocolates or other lame clichéd gifts has its perks.

  16. Don't feel left out. I am also single.

  17. Some find them early in life, others later.

  19. If you have a girlfriend that is tremendously supportive and has similar goals, then yes, it is great to have a significant other. To be realistic, I think most people's "significant others" just waste them a tremendous amount of time and cause pointless drama. So maybe you are better off without one for awhile...maybe.
