Come towards the light Damian...
Theresa was busy all weekend so I wasn't able to see her. Luckily I anticipated this and gave her her gifts early which included a hoodie, some TF2 cellphone charms, various games from the Steam Holiday sale and the third volume of popular webcomic.
Myself? I don't expect to receive anything big. Friends got me a lot of games and a foam Minecraft pickaxe, I don't expect anything from my siblings until February (April if I'm unlucky), parents gave me cash and I treated myself to more games.
Thank you Dear for this one.
So, what am I going to do for the rest of the break? Hopefully see as many old friends as possible and take Theresa out on as many dates as I possibly can. Let's hope her boss doesn't keep scheduling her to work for ENTIRE WEEKS. Seriously, she's busy all the time during the school year, give her a break when she has a break.
In the meantime I have more research stuff to do. That paper isn't going to edit itself and neither is that experiment. Gah, I'm so sick of technical errors at this point. Hopefully I'll get things figured out before the term starts again.
Really want to do this to some of the computers at the lab.
I know the rest of you had a relatively more exciting Christmas holiday than me. If all goes well maybe I can get to work on some other things this break and not be a complete waste of waste. There are some recipes I need to try as well as a DIY project I've been eying.
But the computer games, they beckon.
Probably what I'll end up doing.
I think we can all relate man haha
ReplyDeleteNever neglect your games. They will always be beside you when others have forsaken you.
ReplyDeleteExciting? Man, I haven't had an exciting Christmas since I was 8. A happy one though, yes. That's what matters now. That and making kids have the best Christmas ever.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean on the diy that you mean to finish. I have most if not all of the parts for a micro cnc sitting in my house I just need to convince myself to sit down and work on it. MW3 is really killing my productivity though.
ReplyDeletemeh, christmas is overrated, man ;)
ReplyDeleteI think it sounds not so bad.
ReplyDeleteWas the webcomic book, by chance, Problem Sleuth Vol.3? 8D
ReplyDeleteNope. Don't feel badly. My holiday was equally uneventful. The highlight of my Christmas Day was talking a very loooong walk in the woods with my puppy. (After all, I had to find SOME way to burn off all that eggnog!)
ReplyDeleteInteresting days!
ReplyDeleteThis christmas was my lamest ever... No snow, no christmas feeling, no nothing. And as a bonus today I already worked (and tomorrow too). :/
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing wrong in spending your holiday times doing this as long as you had fun buddy, it's good you had an uneventful one, a lack of events is a lack of trouble after all right haha?
ReplyDeleteHave fun with the new games :)
ReplyDeleteNothing wrong with playing some games :) sadly I didn't get to see my GF over Christmas either and because the coach station was shut today I have to wait until tomorrow to see her -_- but it did give me time to watch Frasier and play some Baldurs Gate :D
ReplyDeleteI had no Christmas.
ReplyDeleteLove the hyperboleandahalf pic. She's right- INTERNET FOREVER!
ReplyDeleteI don't use computers ...they use me. D:
ReplyDeleteYou deserve some time for fun and relaxation...I'm letting my kids sleep late without griping at them :)
ReplyDeleteI hate it when good games suddenly pops out when there a deadline coming soon. Instead of working on my projects, I end up playing for hours instead and then do a last minute all-nighter to rush through it.
ReplyDeletebut im sure it was pretty nice =)
ReplyDeleteI've been lounging about as well and games I have been playing too..haha..so yep, pretty uneventful.
ReplyDeleteOh I miss my college days.
ReplyDeleteTake a step back and just enjoy it man. Now I even miss writing papers and studying for exams.
Best of luck in your college life bro!
Don't worry my holiday wasn't that eventful either. So you're not the only one!
ReplyDeletelol very entertaining post.
ReplyDeletecool post thanks
ReplyDeleteI always hated work on a school break. Ruined the fun of it.
ReplyDeleteThis post made me laugh.. My sister and I both confessed we hadn't mailed out our gifts to each other yet.. And both joked that we might as well wait until February since we both have birthdays that month! Anyway, enjoy the break! I'm loving not having homework!
ReplyDelete...play all of the games? :D I'm sorry :P
ReplyDeleteI spent a great time with my family, sad to hear you didn't =(
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the rest of your holidays! :)
ReplyDeleteI certainly remember my days as a student...hopefully you'll have a great nye.
ReplyDeletehave a great new year :)
ReplyDeletehope it brings more opportunities.
wish I got a foam pick axe...
ReplyDeleteGood luck with staying focused on your work! (video games) But more important then your work and video games, I hope you get to date your girlfriend alot! Trust me, thats the most important of the three!
ReplyDeleteWell usually Christmas weekends are pretty tame, unless its Christmas eve in Tijuana, it was like a damn war zone, I love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's impossible to resist the urge of the computer games. My trick is, as soon as a loading screen comes up, I have to do at least one chore / task. Once it's complete, I can go back to the game until the next loading screen.
ReplyDeleteI had a quiet Xmas with my family. It was exactly what I wanted.
ReplyDeleteMine was a bit dull... I couldn't wait to get back to work!
ReplyDeleteFor once I haven't been bored over Christmas, I have been so busy I have massively neglected anything useful and my blog. Back on it soon definitely... Love that final picture. Hyperbole and a Half is a genius blog, cannot wait for her to finish the book.

Ugh. I don't miss college at all. Thanks for reminding me how truly awful it was. Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteProbably a good thing I never got into video/computer games, or my insomnia would be like 10 times worse.... Bad enough I stay up until 4AM reading and watching Squidbillies. o.O
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a nice Christmas. I'll take a quiet Christmas over the one I had any day!
xo
They make TF2 cellphone charms? Wow...
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a pretty awesome Christmas to me. Shame the missus had to work so much though. Similar situation with Mrs Cranface.
ReplyDeleteLooks like video games got us both through it!
Im pretty much like you, need to get off the computer.
ReplyDeleteI'm on vacation :D
ReplyDeletegreat pictures yeah
ReplyDeleteChristmas was total chaos, but I have kids so it is to be expected. I dream of uneventful Christmases
ReplyDeleteI think the last time I was excited about Christmas I was opening my Nintendo Entertainment System from "santa". Yeah, the original NES. Since then, well, I wake up at 11, make some coffee, and plop down in front of the XBox. Which isn't very exciting, but works just fine for me.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that it was uneventful. And sorry that you still have to work on that damn paper and research.
ReplyDeleteI've been loving the steam sale myself, just picked up Killing Floor with my friends, which is actually a lot more fun than I thought it would be. I love co-op games.
I wish I got a present, full stop. Alas, I can just buy stuff from Steam, it's practically gifting games at such low prices.
ReplyDeleteJealous of your foam pickaxe! Enjoy your new games(:
ReplyDeletePace your workload kiddo and make sure to have lotsa fun while you can. Your paper will still be there.
ReplyDeleteFree Theresa!
ReplyDeleteLMAO!!!! This is hilarious xD I especially loved the last pic x) good luck with everything.
ReplyDeleteOh and btw, I've tagged you in my blog so now you've got to answer eleven questions about yourself. Muahahahahahah
Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteMy dad sent me some money too, fully expecting a random package from my mum though. Last time I got instant coffee, tooth picks and some band-aids from her.
ReplyDeleteI received a laptop computer for Christmas, so needless to say I have been reclusive.
ReplyDeleteDo a minimum of one thing the world considers productive so that you can feel proud of yourself for the effort, then return to the games. Have fun on your break!
hahaha that's true
ReplyDeletecash is the best gift! ;)
ReplyDeleteI got the flu right after Christmas, so I've been pretty much glued to BF3.
ReplyDeleteWonderful blog! Keep up the awesome pictures! Happy new year make sure to see some fireworks and lighten up!
ReplyDeleteyes, the computer games steal souls
ReplyDeleteThis is the last day of the year :) Big party tonight :3
ReplyDeleteWish you all a great and happy new year
Happy New Years I hope you all get ponys!!
