Or you know, I could just wait until the end of the the holiday and then rush to buy all the discount chocolate I can get my grubby hands on.
No one is safe.
In other non-Easter related news, this weekend I'm finally getting around to upgrading my computer. EVA has faithfully served me for nearly all of my years of University, and her hardware is starting to show its age a bit.
And yes, I name all my computers (my Mac, for example, is called Commander Fabulous, he has a pink case, my first laptop was named Lappy) and I'm considering renaming EVA to CABAL. For anyone wondering where I got the names from, they're the names of the AI from the once great RTS series Command and Conquer: Tiberium Sun. Back in the days before Electronic Arts ruined the series.
EVA stands for Electronic Video Agent whereas CABAL is Computer Assisted Biologically Augmented Lifeform. CABAL was also the more powerful AI which is why I was considering the name switch.
Wait, CABAL went rogue and tried to kill everyone. Maybe I should stick with EVA instead.
Nah, he looks safe to me.
Also, my specialist appointment is coming up. It's time to see if I have Marfan's. I want to say that I feel nervous but again, even if I have it, nothing that can do. So why bother worrying?
Finals are around the corner, so I'm going to try and rest a bit more while I can. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone.
Not much Easter celebrating for me. I could go for some chocolate, though...
ReplyDeleteCommander Fabulous.... no kidding. Well, if I were to call my laptop by the name she deserves (yes, I think of my laptop(s) as female beings who can't wait for me to touch those buttons), I think I'd call her Baby from the Past. She's from the previous century but I just can't let go of her.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated Easter (with or without anal beaver glands in your vanilla)!
It's easy enough to say "why bother worrying?" but it's very hard to actually put it in to practice, even though you're right. I don't think it's that weird to name your computers but if I started they'd probably all be called EDI.
ReplyDeleteI haven't started on my Easter chocolate yet, how disappointing!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your appointment - I hope it goes well!
fingers crossed for the appointment!
ReplyDeleteAnd I haven't had chocolate in months - it gives me acne of my face :(
Nice one in upgrading the computer mate, hopefully it works well for you. Although I see your point when it comes to PC gaming I just don't have it in me to sell my laptop and buy an expensive PC. I used to PC game a lot but it just seems too expensive now. Enjoy your Easter too, that photo really made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, today is the day I stock up on half priced Easter bunnies.
ReplyDeleteMy computer's name is Lucy, which is not nearly as badass as Electronic Video Agent, but she's also a pretty pathetic laptop that's just good for the Internet and MSPaint. So... it's fitting.
Hope the appointment goes well and a happy easter was had at your place as well.
ReplyDeletehappy easter
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter DWei. Hope you had an awesome one - and we too are looking forward to the chocolate sales LOL!. What I'm not looking forward to is winter - for us in the southern hemisphere, it's literally around the corner
ReplyDeleteI try to name my objects, it just never works out for me. Good luck at the appointment!
ReplyDeleteBest of luck on your finals and I hope you had a great Easter!!
ReplyDeleteAw man I remember Tiberium Sun. Red Alert 2 is probably my favourite of them, though. Latest C&C game I played was Red Alert 3 and I wasn't too fond of it.
ReplyDeleteI hope your appointment goes well :<
i ate so much and then i took naps in between. i feel so fat this monday
ReplyDeleteSending you good thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI think everyone names their first laptop Lappy. I think it's a rule or law somewhere.
ReplyDeleteI hope you had a good Easter! Good luck with your finals.
ReplyDeleteI remember the good old days when C & C was awesome. Also, you have good names for your computers there. I usually stick to the names that are given to the units themselves although I have deviated to name one Production, Black Magic and Lucious, an allusion to The Simpsons.
ReplyDeleteThis idea with naming your computers is great! I should try it sometime :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a good holiday! I am putting together a care package for my son for finals...well, actually his birthday which is on the first day of finals :/
ReplyDeleteWhen is your appointment? It's normal to be nervous, but you've definitely got the right attitude. You've got the strength to get through whatever comes your way, dude.
ReplyDeleteHappy late Easter, I was busy as I hosted the family. And I already ate almost all my chocolate too :-)
